Unfortunately, Dr. Lott says, "The tissue engineered larynx is not an option for people who have had a laryngectomy already. We do have a laryngeal transplant program running. It is designed to ultimately help people who have already had a laryngectomy. However, it will be a few years before it is available to those patients."
