Learn the latest in regenerative biotherapeutics, biomanufacturing, regenerative medicine and application to clinical care at the Mayo Clinic Symposium on Regenerative Medicine & Surgery 2023. Registration is now open for the event that will be held April 3–5 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Regenerative biotherapeutics is an emerging field in which biologics from human sources — cells, blood, enzymes, tissues, genes or genetically engineered cells — are used in medicines. The hope is that biologics will provide targeted healing, particularly for diseases that have no other therapeutic options.
The Symposium on Regenerative Medicine & Surgery will explore the field of biologics along with the latest in regenerative immunotherapies, oncology, regulatory issues, cell-free therapies, tissue engineering and 3D printing. Conference attendees may earn 9.25 continuing medical education credits.
Mayo Clinic's Center for Regenerative Biotherapeutics is sponsoring this symposium as part of its objective of training the future regenerative workforce.
"Regenerative medicine and biotherapeutics are the health care of tomorrow. Education is the key to advancing new technologies that address rare and complex conditions for patients with unmet needs," says Richard Hayden, M.D., course director, Mayo Clinic Symposium on Regenerative Medicine & Surgery. "Mayo Clinic is one of the few academic medical centers that is developing coursework in this evolving field. The symposium is a rare opportunity to learn regenerative science concepts from the experts."
Keynote speakers include:
New sessions will be added to the agenda as the conference planning continues. Watch the symposium registration site for updates.
Attendees will have access to keynote presentations, breakout sessions, networking and poster presentations. The symposium is open to specialists and nonspecialists who are interested in regenerative medicine therapies and techniques.
Attendance at any Mayo Clinic course does not indicate or guarantee competence or proficiency in the skills, knowledge or performance of any care or procedure that may be discussed or taught in this course.
