Researching Cell-Free Peptide Therapeutics for Cardiac Repair and Regeneration

John C. Burnett Jr., M.D., is studying the prevention of heart failure after a heart attack. The goal of his research is to establish that the use of a novel Mayo Clinic engineered peptide will serve as a cell-free therapeutic strategy for cardiac repair and regeneration.

Dr. Burnett is a Regenerative Medicine Minnesota research grant recipient and Professor of Medicine and Physiology at Mayo Clinic.
